Revainrating 5 out of 5

+5 MUCH better than I expected

5 stars because everything went and works as expected. Shipping took a while but it matched the specs Amazon gave me. It took about a month for the markers to arrive, but it was still quicker than the estimated 6 weeks. But let me tell you it was worth the wait. DISCLAIMER: I work with a 1M marker, so performance for larger sizes may vary based on my observations. The markers work great. I was amazed at what they can do in terms of the media and the material they were inked on. What I found the markers to be excellent at: - Standard overlay sketch paper: Micron black markers (oil based), watercolor, pencil. and even coal! The Copic markers had some absorbency, but it wasn't anything that a few coats couldn't fix. - Canvas: acrylic and spray paint. Oil paint has not been tested. - Any slightly textured plastic or metal. - Wood (not laminated). won't stick very well all the time. The drying time was much longer (as expected) and the ink was kind of "curly". It was harder to get sharp edges on a smaller scale, but it certainly wasn't impossible. As for blocking large areas, I think it would take a lot of work to get a very opaque finish. The marker can stick to some clothing materials, but the ink came out thin and faded from soaking (also to be expected). The marker works very well on the skin. All in all, all markers exceeded my expectations and I am very happy that I bought them. PS: If this is your first drawing marker and you're worried about the ink not coming out after you open it, your solution is as follows: Ok, shake it. Then press the tip firmly but quickly against a hard surface (the tip is spring-loaded). This allows some paint/ink to flow from the chamber into the tip. DO NOT overdo it or your marker will bleed all over. It seemed to me that 2-3 quick marker downloads are enough for several sessions.
