I'm sure prices vary but when I bought this genuine HP cartridge the price for one cartridge was about the same as these two packs. They state roughly the same print volume per cartridge. As with any replacement, I expected less performance than advertised. It does not apply to this particular cartridge. He claims to offer 1000 sheets. I just got a low level warning with about 50 pages left. 963 pages have been printed so far, so your estimate is pretty accurate. The print quality is the same as far as I can tell. I mainly use it to print documents for school and I don't notice any problems.
