There was no hole in the middle so if you close the lid tightly the lawn mower won't run. But if you don't put the cover on firmly, it can detach from the mower. I had to spend $250 to "fix" my lawn mower when it wasn't working, but I later realized that it was only because the cover didn't have a hole.
