A good product, I advise you to try it.

Due to the fact that I travel quite often - over time, the capabilities of the "soap box" became not enough, I planned to buy a good SLR. I chose among such options as Nikon D3100, D5100 and Canon D1100, D600 - as a result, the D5100 was chosen by the ratio of characteristics and price.
This device was bought before a trip to the UAE at the beginning of 2022, the shooting during the trip was carried out in a fairly active mode - the camera has proven itself only from the best side.
At the moment, the camera has been in use for more than 3 years, during which time a whole fleet of additional lenses, filters and a flash was bought for it. Despite the fact that the model is already outdated, I still consider this camera the best option for amateur photography.

Pros

1. High quality photography due to the matrix from a more advanced counterpart D7000. 2. Quite compact and light (compared to more expensive SLR cameras) - in my opinion, the best option for traveling. 3. Rotatable display - allows you to take interesting pictures from different angles. 4. IR port on the front and rear panels - convenient to use with the remote control when the camera is on a tripod. 5. Sufficiently capacious battery - on average enough for 400 shots, but an additional one was purchased for travel.

Cons

1. Video mode leaves much to be desired - poor focus on the subject, autofocus sound recording. 2. Live View mode (shooting through the screen) - it is not convenient to use for photography due to the slow shutter speed. 3. After the purchase, one dead pixel was found on the photomatrix - but it is not noticeable in the photographs.
