Worth the upgrade! Also, double check your settings before you get frustrated!

I tried the CM 350 first and am so glad I got this one instead. The best scanner makes a big difference. In addition, it is easier to use, has more functions and is more accurate. You can also add accessories, e.g. B. a roll feed. At first I thought it wasn't correct at all. It cut off the edges of the stamped images I had scanned. Luckily I found a great facebook group that was very helpful in understanding how to use the device and someone in that group helped me figure out that it was just a setting ("smoothing") that was the problem caused. Now I love this machine! It's the best scanner in the house right now, so I only use it as a scanner. Haven't used the Brother Canvas software yet, but it looks like you can use it to manipulate the cut lines, which is great too. Sometimes the machine picks up lines in images and wants to crop them when I don't want it. It's not really the machine's fault, but from what I understand it can be handled in Canvas. I would like to have an easier way to solve this problem directly on the machine, but so far I haven't found a way to do it. I also have a Cricut Explore which is an absolutely great cutting machine (it cuts really well too but I find the Explore easier to use and very accurate) BUT the Explore can't scan! So of course I have to have both cars! :D Also, many people complain that the mats lose their stickiness too quickly, but all you have to do is soak the mat in water, then wipe away the paper fibers and lint with an alcohol-free, lotion-free baby wipe, and the stick is back there, almost like new. It usually gets too sticky after that, so I blot it with a fluffy towel to loosen it up a bit. Facebook groups have tons of tips and tricks that people share.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
