Review on WiFi router TP-LINK TL-MR3020, white by Ninad Shinde

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Purchased to use wi-fi in the car through an unlocked 4G modem ZTE MF823 (M100-3 from Megafon). The modem connects successfully, but if you want to change the SIM card, the router will not be able to send an AT command (CGDCONT) to the modem normally to set the desired APN, and this will have to be done manually through a connection to a computer / laptop. In addition, if the AUTODIAL setting is not set in the modem or the AUTODIAL setting is lost, then with this router the modem can successfully find a mobile network, but will not connect to it, because the router does not know what to say CONNECT to the modem. However, if you know how to do it all by hand, then the device works great and does its job.

Pros
  • 1. Featured functionality with small size. It's certainly not a kinetic, but it's not a child's toy either. 2. Normally powered by a USB port in the car and distributes wi-fi.
Cons
  • Objectively, it is NOT able to send APN profile settings to a 4G modem and automatically connect it to a mobile network, although this is clearly stated both in the documentation and in the web interface.
