This is the first review I have ever written on amazon. I just had to write because of how much I love this product. I have several jars at home just in case they ever run out! I am a black female with 4a/4b hair, completely natural for the last 16 years. I use the product to define the curls in my tightly coiled hair. I have never found anything that works as well. It works like other gels such eco-styler but it dries very quickly and does not leave the residue I have found on my hair from other curl-defining products. It also has much better and simpler ingredients than many other products that I've tried.I apply to damp hair for the best effects. However if my hair is dry and I just use a spray bottle to spritz it, that also works well. For best results, I apply root to tip and make sure that it touches all of my hair. I then put my hair in twists (10 or 12) and let it dry overnight. It usually dries after a few hours. I take it down untwisting (my signature twist-out) with a little oil on my hands to protect my ends and my hair comes out with beautiful well-defined curls with a shine. I keep my hair moisturized during the week with a little spritz of water and moisturizer (shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie). This style last at least a week sometimes two if I freshen the hair from root to tip with water and the gel the second week. This is a great alternative for wash-and-go styles. It fights humidity like nobody's business and keeps frizz and stray hairs at bay. I keep a jar in my car as well because it's so easy to refresh your style during the day if necessary.Compared to expensive products or cheap alternatives that are lower quality, this is a bargain. It is now a staple in my hair regimen. Absolutely love it!
