Edit: A few months after the first use I used the long spatulas again in a different stovetop pan and both came out of the grip. So this looseness was the beginning of it. After that I used shorter ones, I actually liked them better, but they also loosened up later, but haven't fallen out yet. I added some Gorilla Glue to the others as I slid them back into the pen. Ooooh, I'll look around for something better in time. I rarely use a frying pan so they will still work for me for now. The original set of unbranded spatulas came with all the handles loose, came right back and ordered them because we've had good luck with other Cuisinarts. Products. After a single use with long spatulas, while they also felt loose in the grips, they haven't fallen out yet or anything, so we'll stick with that. I don't know how common these things are. Also, I really like the set and would still recommend them over the brands.
