This was purchased for the Midway Eco fan although I know the manufacturer claims it is not compatible with the 2.5" stem. That being said, as a previous reviewer noted, there are a few modifications that can be made to the hanging orb. By cutting/cutting a groove in the shackle it can be made compatible so the pin can snap into place. This can be accomplished with a rotary cutter and will require a bit of trial and error lest you remove too much material and greatly reduce the integrity of the suspension. Once that is complete and connecting the fan can be very tricky, it took me a full 45 minutes to do what would normally take 5. If you decide to do this work, the last issue you might have is the fan is a little louder at max speed and blows a little less air compared to a setup with a longer rod. All in all a great rod that is perfectly color matched to the fan and if your fan is compatible then no modifications are required.
