Review on πŸͺ Authentic MARCATO Atlas Biscuit Maker Press: 20 Cookie Disc Shapes, Made in Italy by Chris Lacasse

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use, very well made

This is the first cookie press I've used so I have no comparison. But after reading reviews about it and others I can say that it is excellent. Very easy to use and well made, I can see this one will last almost forever. Just a few notes: the product description says it is a stainless steel finish; that's just the appearance, it's made of aluminum. Also, some of the videos you may have seen mention a black extension handle for added leverage. This one didn't have one and it wasn't mentioned in the instructions, but it didn't matter much as it took very little effort to squeeze the handle and squeeze out the dough. During use, the plunger rod may rotate a little with each squeezed biscuit and begin to slide. Just keep an eye on it and make sure the notches line up properly. It would be nice to be able to wash it in the dishwasher, but I've never seen aluminum and a dishwasher get along and it comes apart very easily for cleaning. baking paper. The dough should stick to it, and with all the butter in a typical crumble cookie recipe, sticking isn't an issue. Also, place the baking sheets in the freezer for a few minutes before baking the cookies. The cold will help the dough stick.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
