What could be so brilliant about a shelf design is a great way to make sure the screws are in the right place! The shelf is attached with 2 keyhole fasteners. Typically there is either a measurement or a pattern that must be followed to ensure proper spacing. This shelf comes with a small bubble level, a set screw in each keyhole, and a hex wrench to adjust the set screw. (See the attached photo where one set screw is visible on the right and an Allen key inserted into the other set screw on the left.) and press the shelf against the wall. The set screws leave a small indentation where the two mounting screws should be placed. Leave the mounting screws with a 2mm gap between the head and the wall and the shelf slides over for a secure fit. (Remember to screw the set screws back into the bracket so they are no longer protruding). The instructions are in moderately decent English, it took me a few readings to figure out what the set screw was for. The kit also includes wall plate anchors. Installation only requires a screwdriver, although I chose to drill pilot holes and double check the position of the studs as well. One downside is that the screws are about 15.25" apart, making it difficult to screw both sides into the stud (unless you can 3/8" from the inside edge on both studs). Not that this tiny shelf needs to be supported on a stud, but it's nice to have smaller holes.
