Modern style meets a total classic! This is an old school style boat neck on the top through the shoulders and neckline with a trendier boxy middle that pulls itself in to be quite fitted at the waist line with a cuffed trim! Made of solid a "true blue” navy which color runs deep in this blend of cotton fabric and I love the material btw. it too is old-school in the fact, it’s made without unknown synthetics in the mix. this is a true cotton/poly blend! For any unfamiliar with 75/25 fabric- it translates to a heavier weighted material. Again, old school charm. as sweatshirts were once made for the purpose to use in colder temps (imagine that!) and this type of blend is what made them warm and cozy! This has a comfort and softness that’s truly inviting.All quality stitching and finishing detail is present as you would expect for this price point. If spending $40 on a sweatshirt, I want this to have the needed substance to go the distance for seasons to come. this boasts just that! This was made without cutting any corners and backs up the price you are paying. After washing 6+ already. there are no signs of pilling- it looks brand new still! Albeit, I always wash sweatshirts inside out for this very reason. I recommend washing with darks to avoid any bleeding. Ive not noticed an issue but, I’ve also washed with like colors on cold! I line dry to avoid shrinkage- especially at the waistline.Fit: this runs true to size everywhere but the waistband- ugh! So, for any with a trouble spot through the middle… This may pose a bit of a problem?! Ordered in XL where its perfectly fitted through the body length, chest, shoulders and sleeves- the only misfit is the gathered waistband! For reference: I’m 5’2”, 154lb, 38C, 32x28, 40+ yr. old with bigger then should waistline (thx to my x4 kids and gravity.) Hoping this can provide solid info to compare. My ONLY reason for deducting x1 is the fit issue. A womens XL usually accommodates a 32” waist- if not, it isn’t helping those who need an XL size!Overall, this sweatshirt has high quality written all over it! Just the x1 angst with the fit. and yet- I still love it! I’ve made two cuts into the band to eliminate the issue. because I love it that much!
