For me it was an erroneous impulse purchase. Being able to cook the right amount of food by weight and having more control over what you eat is a good idea. In fact, I'm better off just using the kitchen scale I already have. This combined element sounds good, but you end up with a small slice area and smaller scale. Again, it's better if I use my own cutting boards, which come in a variety of sizes and large sizes, and weigh the food as needed with my current scale. I am passing this on to anyone who is able to use it. I would add that this one appears pretty good as a scale, although the weighing surface is small. The cutting board surface is not as durable as my Epicurian cutting boards and I really prefer these or the Liflicon silicone cutting surfaces I recently got from Revain.
