Dangerous polarity reversal of devices possible.
This cable suits me, but it can be dangerous in incompetent hands. The female end is polarized and the male end is unpolarized. If the female end is polarized, the male end must be polarized. With this cable, anything you connect to it has a 50/50 chance of being reversed. This is a shock and a fire hazard. Thankfully, it doesn't matter what I use it for.
