Just arrived today (06/12/18). If you just plug it directly into your computer, it won't automatically pair with your mouse (or whatever). You must open (or install and open) the "Logitech Merging Software" from the Logitech website. It is then very easy, intuitive and fast to connect the mouse to the computer. It lasted 15 seconds. I suspect most of these negative reviews are from people who can't follow the instructions to download or open the software (if it's already installed). Although I have a concern. The packaging of this device was a small plastic bag. Definitely not official Logitech packaging. I suspect this is a fake. It works, but who knows what other crap (malware) might come with it. If it bothers you, I wouldn't buy this product here.
