I wouldn't call these clamps a third hand. Makes sense when you think about it. You can apply as much pressure as the strength of your fingers because that's how it opens. And if you have two surfaces slippery with glue, they will slide if you don't hit them with some pins. They can only be used to hold things in place until you can use real clamps to put pressure on the connection.
