Review on 🍎 Norpro 860 Apple Mate 1- The Ultimate Apple, Potato, Parer, Slicer & Corer Masterpiece by Tim Camp

Before I write my review on this I would like to say that I have had 2 of these apple/core/slice peelers before. I've been using them for years and I know how they work and how to make adjustments. I would give this product NO STARS if it were possible. Here is my review. It's so cheaply made that the list of what's wrong with it is long. 1. There is only a rubber foot on the bottom, it does not provide countertop protection on the end closest to the clamp. The metal of the cleaner rests directly on the tabletop at the end of the cleaner handle 2. Because there is only one rubber foot, the cleaner is not stabilized and the entire cleaner experiences severe vibration when using the handle. Because of the difference in height between a rubber foot and the end without it, it's impossible to tighten it enough to limit vibration. 3. It pushes the apple out when peeling, and no adjustment of the peeler helps, neither on the blade itself nor on the spring peeler lever. 4. The apple is not completely peeled. I had half the apples that I stopped halfway through the cutting/coring process and couldn't get the apple all the way through, which required extra work to try and salvage the remaining apple. 5. The apple slices were unevenly thick from the beginning to the end of an apple for the apples I was able to peel/cut/core. Some slices were too thick, others were paper thin and fell apart completely when handled, no matter how gently handled. This resulted in parts of the final product being undercooked in some places and overcooked in other places. If you've never owned them, you have nothing to compare yourself to and you might think that's how they work. Not so! Don't waste your money on this product. I will contact Revain to arrange a refund. I'm so disgusted with the poor quality that I don't want a replacement, I want a full refund.
