After reading reviews that some buyers(?) gave it a one star rating, I was nervous about purchasing this product. Luckily one of the 3 boxes had instructions. First, my husband and I cleaned the tiles with ACETONE. We were surprised how much dirt came off as we had only cleaned the tiles the day before! We placed the vacuum ring on the cleaned, dry tile immediately after removing the plastic. We did NOT touch the suction cup after removing the plastic. My husband pressed down firmly on the suction device for about 30 seconds. Then we followed the instructions on the letters by putting the lid on the horizontal groove sucker, placing the hooks in the groove and then putting the lid on. My husband applied some pressure and twisting and screwed the lid VERY TIGHT. . I tightened it so tight I couldn't even tighten it overnight. We only hung things up after about 12-14 hours and so far have had no problems with the device holding up (5 days). I hope everything stays as good as it was.
