Only about a week, but it's really amazing. The CADR (Clean Air Dispersion Rate, also known as air cleaning performance) on this machine is incredible. I have 2 Rowenta 6020 XL devices and have for many years. They're good for small spaces, but the one in my 1,000-square-foot basement has always given me problems. I set up this machine and went to bed. In the morning the air was still fresh downstairs and now it doesn't bother my girlfriends with severe allergies. I can only recommend the purchase of this device and simply send it back if you don't like it. PS Seriously check the CADRs of other air filters before you buy them as they often have completely false advertising. I ordered (and declined) an Airmega 400 unit that said it could clear 1500 square feet. It's just a blatant lie. The CADR on it is 350, which means you really shouldn't run it in an area that you need to clear that's over 700 square feet. Do a little research and you'll be back here. Unless you're willing to shell out $2,500 for a Bluair machine that does the same job as this one.
