The material of the gaiter is good nylon. The improvements that would make this a great product are:1. The strap that goes under your boot needs to be nylon webbing and not some sort of vinyl. I nice quick release buckle should go with it.2. The Velcro closure needs to be wider. If you wear a lighter pair of pants it is hard to get the gaiter tight around your leg.3. The top webbing should have a quick release buckle instead of one that you weave.
