My eight year old is probably a little above average and was too small. I can't imagine it being suitable for the average 9 or 10 year old (since the advert says it's for 8-10 year olds). He actually really liked the zippered part of the rashguard and was comfortable wearing it, but it already looks too small for him and he's only been wearing it for a few months.
