It was about the size of Carter's cotton pajama set, so I bought him a pair of pants off Amazon. The main thing I wanted was 100% cotton for my child who overheats at night. It's a soft cotton material for t-shirts and the elastic waistband is great - not too tight or bulky. My son is 6 years old and wears size 7 or 8 Old Navy pants. He put them on and they look a bit big, but they are perfect for sleeping and he has some room to grow. I expected some shrinkage after washing, so take size into account when ordering. They hit below the knee before washing and I would compare them to basketball shorts for size and fit. The only thing that confuses me is the color of the blue shorts.
