This is the time of year when I refuse to turn on the heat but also want to keep the bedroom cool and the living/dining room warm. Hence the need for a portable electric fireplace. Also, I like the atmosphere of a fire without the smell or the effort required to maintain it. The wide range of temperature control ensures that on days when I have hot flashes I can have a very hot night or a not so hot night lol. The touch screen makes it easy to view and use. Plus an included remote control for those days when I really don't feel like getting up. The ability to change the color of the flame via the touchscreen or remote control is a nice touch. The versatility of this fireplace is also impressive. I have it separately, but my husband and I are debating whether to drown it or just hang it. It has the abilities of all three, which is great as it gives me multiple options for each of my rooms if I choose. The same goes for the option to choose between acrylic gemstones or imitation wood. The possibilities are very good because I experience different moods in my rooms. It's the perfect size for a small living room or master bedroom and warms both (I've put it off until I decide what to do with it). Not too loud either. I didn't really have to adjust the volume on the TV when it was working, so that's a big plus for me too, as there's enough loud noise in this house.
