They are packaged bent in half with a rubber band around them. Huge kinks that won't come out. I'm glad I was planning on cutting them in half for my toddler anyway. They're fine for Halloween or for kids, but if you're trying to have them long and straight, this isn't for you. The description also says that they're heat safe. I'm pretty sure they're not.
