They serve a real need

I always use them when shipping/shipping an SD card to a customer. They are large enough not to get lost in the envelope. In addition, they prevent dust from entering the SD card and resist any bending force on the SD card. I also use them when carrying spare SD cards in my briefcase, laptop bag, camera bag(s) and suitcase(s) for the same reasons as above. They are just as useful as a paper clip for what they were designed for, it was a great idea.
