Review on Control Accessories Controller Sunshade Smartphone by Brian Micheals

Excellent sunshade, easy to install, strong and flat

I took the remote control out into the sun for the first time and decided I needed some shade. I tend to go for something as simple as a lens hood, but in this case I went with a Suprbird. First, the hood is marked by another manufacturer, Startrc, which is a good hood, and it's identical. I found the hood well made. There are magnets that hold the front edge of the hood at a 45 degree angle. The material seems strong enough to withstand normal wear and tear. The edges are welded, not sewn, giving the appearance of strong stitching, and the multiple creases shouldn't cause the stitching to tear. I've read that someone complains that they don't like the 45 degree bar, but this bar is essential for sun protection. sufficient, and if you don't like the lip, just lift the lip and it stays horizontal. To keep the edge horizontal another set of magnets or a pocket could be added to allow the flap to be placed in a horizontal position. There were no instructions but it was easy to understand. To install the hood and phone, I lifted the controller's antenna/phone holder and inserted the hood so the holes in the top lined up with the clip. The antenna/clip needs to be raised slightly to accommodate the phone, so I inserted the phone at an angle while pushing the clip down along with the phone until the phone clicked into place. I used the Galaxy S6 Edge. The lens hood is very, very secure as it is sandwiched between the phone and the clip. The gimbal wheel and the video start buttons are easily accessible even with the hood on. The lens hood is good and priced identically to the StartRC but I found it a bit pricey and after using it felt like it was a labor of money.

Decent concept, but the magnets to make it stay in shape arent strong enough to do it at all.
