Somehow harder than the mattress itself - it's litterially just upholstry foam

for a hard mattress it would probably work ok, but for softening up a medium mattress it made it firmer, which is impressive.Will probably use it to line pillows or something, not worth returning.

Pros

It is very durable and it is very comfortable and soft. I would buy this again

Cons

It may not fit properly on all queen-sized mattresses
