Not sure why this amp is selling for $1099. It costs $1099 because of: 1) Sound quality? #2) Power? No (2 channels, 70 W each)3) Easy to use? #4) Performance? No (I'll explain) 5) Design? Maybe 6) Name Denon? Definitely looks cool. That's all. Can't you use it without WiFi connection? It makes no sense. The Heos app is garbage. I sent mine back because bluetooth playback wasn't smooth. When listening to music, songs would randomly skip forward or backward a few seconds, or play very fast or very slow for a moment. For $1099, the device should work perfectly, and this device didn't. Also, it was difficult to understand the menu. with the remote control. Changing the volume was a chore. I'm not sure if the Audio Direct feature worked at all. I bought a Sony two channel amplifier for $160 (2 speakers per channel, 100 watts per output) and I couldn't be happier.
