We bought these to replace an old pillow and they are great. When we received them they were vacuum packed and very flat. I saw some reviews complaining about this, but they started to swell as soon as we opened them (a little pressure and massage helped them expand fairly quickly and evenly). Although they started out a bit thick at first, they still felt a bit flimsy and I was okay with that, but not thrilled. But over the next few days they slowly continued to expand and now, as you can see in the side view, they're quite thick. It's just a pillow in a cover and it's pretty fluffy. Keep in mind that it will crease a bit if you press it or lay on it, but overall it's just a big, soft pillow, which is what we wanted. Great opportunity to get two for this price and they are great for propping or throwing cushions on the sofa and chair.
