I live with 6 "terrorists" cleverly disguised as cats! And they love the big fern in "their” kitchen. So much so that they not only eat it, but lie in it! After trying the sprays to no avail and being "desperate," I decided to try this [seemed like a logical idea]. It works to a certain extent. I didn't get a chance to tuck it into the fern so I made a "coral" around the pot using long twisted zip ties to keep the paddock closed/together. This reduced the fern's attacks, but didn't eliminate them. Because there are no real instructions or suggestions that you can make yourself. Laying the mat "flat" on the surface didn't work for me as my cats just threw it away [like I said, they were terrorists]. Note. A number of small "anchor" pins [ca. 1 inch long] are spaced within the mat. I found them useless as they are too short and small to hold the mat in place. In short, for the price I was hoping for a miracle. But until someone has a better idea, I think it will be. Prepare another type of attack.
