The Easy Way to Add More Fans

If you want to add more fans to your case but don't have extra fan connectors, this is the easy solution. This allows you to connect PWM fans, unlike some splitters that don't have 4-wire PWM connectors. This is useful for connecting multiple fans to a single fan speed control head without having to configure each individual fan in the BIOS. Just use one setting for all connected fans. Be careful. Connecting 5 fans to one motherboard header can result in too much current on a single header. You generally don't want to exceed 1 amp per header. This means that with a 0.3A fan, only 3 fans can be safely connected to this hub. Check your mobo and fan specs to confirm this. Most fan specifications indicate the amperage per fan. It might be harder to find specs on a mobo, but in this case I wouldn't go over 1 amp just to be on the safe side. The only time I see 5 fans connected are 92mm fans drawing 0.12A each. You can safely connect 5 fans. If it is Corsair 120mm 0.3A fan, do not connect more than 3 fans. Check your fan specs to be sure. Also, it works great and has a decent length of braided 4-wire PWM cable. The good part is buying a few extra ones and storing them for when you need them.
