**UPDATED!** After first unboxing, I wasn't impressed with the 20 seconds these creatures light up on. I kept them as stockings though and now that Christmas is over and my son is using them THEY ARE GREAT! They glow much longer when they're in the water! They are very bright even through a bubble bath and perfect for a glowing bath! I'm SO glad I kept them! Original post below: Not quite sure what to think yet. They look exactly like the picture, but the function is a bit contradictory. My son loves bathing with glow sticks so I figured these reusable toys would get cheaper and less wasteful over time but I'm not sure they would work well. I read a review that they glow for a minute and then turn off - in fact they glow for 20 seconds and then turn off. There are two metal dots on the bottom that should be buttons to turn them on, but a couple of them didn't turn on at all initially. As soon as they finally tuned in, a few others stopped working. Eventually they all worked, but it took several tries and they didn't last long. I couldn't even get a single photo where they were all running fast enough to light up at the same time. Not sure if my toddler can take them to work. I bought these for my son for Christmas which is 2 months away. If by then they still work and perform well in the water I will upgrade them to 4 stars. But for now, the inconsistency has me a little disappointed.
