After purchasing a new ceiling fan with light I was surprised to find that I had ordered one with low wattage bulbs which required a candelabra base. I understand that it is necessary to meet the energy requirements, but it is also inefficient for me to light all the other lamps in the living room. Worse, back then I couldn't find a CFL lightbulb with a 100W candelabra base. I am very happy that I found it now. These bulbs are warm white not cool white and I wish they were available in full spectrum but they help brighten the room. They match the lamp perfectly (the bulbs are hidden in a glass bowl under the fan). I don't understand why there aren't more brands that fit the needs of the market, but I'm glad Sylvania is paying attention. Bought and just installed today so time will tell how long they last.
