Amazing on my difficult to fit horse

I have a 25 year old warmblood mare with very high withers and a wide flat back. It has been impossible to find a saddle to fit her odd conformation. Wither relief pads resulted in the saddle tipping back. Shims on fleece pads added way too much bulk to an already wide horse. In desperation I ordered the standard gel pad. It is perfect. The standard pad was enough to bring the saddle off her withers, without tipping the saddle back. It retained the spine clearance she requires. The saddle sits balanced and stable on her back, and we are both very happy with it.
