I read a TON of baby cradle before I bought this one. Here is my list of pros and cons. Pros - Easy to put together - Very light and easy to carry - Love that it can swing or stay in place - Perfect for snuggling up to or securing a toddler - Love that it can be used for a toddler can be used. up to 15 pounds cons - not the best product for a newborn. The newborn is likely to roll onto its side. Mine did. - should be a few inches higher so that the bassinet is flush with the bed. The price of this item was worth it. If using this item on a newborn I suggest using it in combination with snuggling or cupping the baby. When I first put my newborn in the cradle, he immediately rolled onto his side and that scared me to death. As other reviewers have mentioned, this was due to a tear in the middle of the mattress. After talking to my cousin she told me to crib and it worked like magic! Yes, the instructions say no, but using the bassinet this way works great for my newborn. When my kid gained about 11 pounds, I put him away and stopped driving!
