Great nostalgia value and a very polished experience. The new capture mechanic isn't all that terrible and could be seen as an interesting twist on the old formula. For me, the most obvious downside to the game is the extremely easy difficulty level. You don't really feel challenged at almost any point in the game. Basically it's like a walk, good and sophisticated, but a walk nonetheless. The game is not intended for hardcore main series players, but many of them will still want to play it. This is the game many of you have been waiting for (the traditional Pokémon experience on a full-fledged console), but you'll probably be a little disappointed. But that's the way things are. The game was clearly promoted for a different audience, and it still has a lot of things that longtime fans are sure to appreciate. But probably all of this would be more acceptable at a more reasonable price.
