I use this to keep dogs out of my bedroom. It is suitable for dogs, but this one is not suitable for children, as you can see it does not snap at the top (photo #2). It is fixed below. Using the pen is not good to open it. Instead, I use the middle of the top bar. Maybe mine is defective but I tried emailing the company about wall mugs and it took forever to get a response. I already had it installed so I saved it. The warranty card suggests a set of wall mugs for a positive review, but as I said, I asked and they didn't answer for a long time. So I ordered a set of wall nannies (pic #1) and they work great! One installation tip is that there is a zip tie that says to stay in place until the installation is complete. Do this and things will go much better for you. I like it when I come through the gate. You just have to go through the bottom bar. The door swings in both directions. The door stays open. i really like it I just want it to be locked at the top.
