If you have a clock, you can time your coffee making to coincide with when you put the toast in the toaster. Each member of the family can have their toast toasted to their preferred level of doneness by simply adjusting the oven's temperature. There's no pressure to stay at the roast. If you lift the lever, you can make toasts of any size without risking burns.
