I did a lot of searching online for a replacement keyboard. The primary criterion was that it be wireless and not require frequent charges; solutions that need charging every two to three days disqualified themselves immediately from consideration. It turns out that almost no keyboards met my requirements. The lack of wiring will add at least $5,000 to the total price. in addition to the aforementioned charge issues, a portion of the functionality is removed. It's hilarious that you can buy your way out of anything if you have enough cash on hand, but $20,000 for a keyboard is just ridiculous. The keyboard is among the most (the most?) costly available, but it is well worth the price. In the beginning, there was the design and the embroidery. The keyboard is aesthetically pleasing with a spare but not dull design; the tactile qualities of the materials are excellent; there is no backlash; and the key presses are effortless. Next, time spent working. When I use the keyboard with the backlight set to a moderate level, the battery dies completely after 10-14 days. Since I do most of my work from home, there are times when I am glued to the screen for hours. The outcome is worthwhile, and I can afford to connect the wire for three hours once or twice a month without finding the process monotonous. As an added bonus for conserving power, the keyboard's lighting will turn off after a configurable amount of inactivity. No worries here, is the reply. I didn't try it out over bluetooth because it's too awesome and lightning-fast for me to give up my current setup. As I was deciding between this and a comparable version with a numpad (which is even cheaper), I realized that I use a numpad once every six months, so I opted for a little one, which is also a benefit in terms of design and convenience. There are some minor things to keep in mind, none of which are dealbreakers for me: - keystrokes are fairly loud (but I live alone). Even though I did not configure anything particularly complex on my Logitech mouse—just the backlight—I ran into some issues with the official Logitech software, which everyone seems to be complaining about.
