Review on RYKA SKY WALK Walking Frost by Kimberlee Winn

I bought my first pair of these shoes in store in August 2017. After wearing them for 5 months to go to cardio/fitness a few times a week I was so happy with them that I bought a second pair from Revain to wear to the gym so I didn't have to wear my shoes all the time had to get dressed time for walks in the gym bag. Yesterday after a 2.5 mile walk I had pain in the ball of my left foot and felt like something was stuck in my shoes. When I investigated I found a hole in the fabric and a hole in the foam in the insole at the center of the ball of the foot. I checked another shoe and found that the fabric insole on the ball of the foot was also worn but still intact. I walk 2-6 miles at an average speed of 3.5-4 mph so there is a lot of friction in the balls of my feet so I also wear athletic socks with extra padding to avoid blisters. So far these shoes have been very comfortable. wear. However, I expected shoes marketed as fitness shoes to last 9+ months, especially at this price point. The outside of the shoe has held up and shows little to no wear on the sole, but the condition of the insole makes it unusable for my purposes at the moment. I'm not sure they could have been saved if I bought a side dish. These shoes will probably work for less vigorous or less frequent walking, but I doubt I would buy them again.
