Unfortunately it has to be a little stronger. If you hit something, the clip may detach from the back of the holster. This is the second example of this type (not this brand, although this brand is exactly the same as my previous one which broke in this way) that I have recently ordered. Also, the clip attachment that actually holds the phone in place isn't tight enough, and the phone can (and will) fall out fairly easily. I had to use large pliers to gently press down on the clip while applying heat (my Zippo lighter) to make the necessary adjustment for the holster to hold the phone securely. I like the design. They just have to repeat their measurements so buyers don't have to do what I had to do.
