Once I assembled them following the instructions they work great and save a lot of time. However, this is to create a complete PIA. The instructions that come with it are small photocopies with horrible pictures to follow along with. If you want to use rods instead of eyebolts, it's extremely difficult and time consuming. You'll need to slide the rod through the derringer at an angle to get a wrench on the socket. You cannot just run the rod straight up and then back down as the square nut is too big to go back through the handle joints. You can grind down the nut to fit the entire device, but I didn't go that route. Once you've secured the swivel nut (which is a feat in itself), it's nearly impossible to reinstall the square nut into the derringer. You can try to "screw" the derringer back into place as the shaft hole engages the shaft threads. It only gets you so far. Then you should try to reattach the nut. This will damage the threads on the stem and make it a bit difficult to reinstall the locknut. A quick way is to use eyebolts. The "want to pull my hair out and smash shit with a hammer" method is the stick method with a tight thread. in the derringer, which would make things easier. BTW I bought a 1/2"-13 fully threaded connection so I didn't have to trim the Torklift turnbuckles.
