I didn't want to buy an original Microsoft Surface charger, so I chose this one because it meets the requirements for charging my Surface Pro 7+. GaN technology allows this thing to pack a big punch in a small size. My understanding is that a connected device can deliver a maximum of 100W, but will drop to 50W if another device is plugged into a different slot. The Surface takes at least 60 to charge *and* boot from dead, so I should keep that in mind. I think 50 watts will allow to stay at the same level during use.
