**Updated Review** I've had the filter for about 2 years. After the first wash it became very thin and soft. The foam part of the filter is very loose and has taken on a pleated shape. I don't have to vacuum much since we mainly have parquet floors. The filter still worked, but not as well as it originally did. I will replace him. I was skeptical at first when I opened the packaging because the filter unit looked smaller than mine. Actually the foam part of the filter I had was just worn and stretched. I have been using the vacuum cleaner for more than 5 years and have washed the filter many times. After installing a new filter, my vacuum cleaner started vacuuming like new! Difficult to squeeze as suction is very good. It used to just glide across the carpet as if it had very little suction. I'm a lucky tourist!
