If you don't like choking on the dust when you switch on the vacuum cleaner, you have sensitive ears and love clean floors. . . This vacuum is for you. I use it most of the time on the lowest setting which is very powerful and very quiet and guests can even hear the TV! Also, this vacuum cleaner is very stylish (if that matters to you) and mine is blue. I have a Miele at another house and I can say I love this Prolux and it's about 1/8th the price of a Miele. I love that this Prolux has a great filtration system and dust doesn't stay behind. I have a very sensitive sinus area and I can tell when a speck of dust escapes from a vacuum. Previously, when I used an upright vacuum, I would choke whenever I turned on the vacuum and saw dust coming out of the bag. Obviously, supposedly very effective brands without bags and canisters that you empty when full will never work for allergy sufferers. If you are allergic to dust, this Prolux is a good choice. I would recommend buying the motorized vacuum nozzle option if you have a lot of carpet, but the regular nozzle that comes with it works great on hardwood floors. I bought a 10" wide brush head for this Prolux to use on my hardwood floors and it works great. It's worth noting that the barrel of this Prolux is just over 1 1/4 inches wider. So if you're buying an aftermarket brush, look for 1 1/2 inch brush heads. I didn't see many 1 1/2" nozzles for sale at Revain so I had to buy an adapter. At AMAZON I bought a "1 1/4 Hardwood Floor Brush" with a 10" wide soft bristled vacuum attachment and a "Mr. Nozzle Part #17 Vacuum Hose Adapter."
