Review on PAWLAND Freestanding Dog Gate With Door: The Ultimate Solution For 80-Inch Wide Spaces, Stairs, And Doorways by Chris Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Dog gate as described except one small problem

I don’t have extensive experience with the gate. I am reviewing based on initial impressions I installed the hardware and have opened up and used the gate a little. The gate feels very sturdy and well built. The quality is top notch. The gate is freestanding meaning it does not screw into walls nor is it compression fitted against walls. It sits on the floor and you adjust the angle of each panel due to the double sided hinges they use. I’ve never seen hinges like these. The gate doesn’t fall over because of its heft and the little feet they provide you. They provide 2 little fit with adhesive foam stuck between the cut out gap. This cut out gap is fitted over the bottom railing of whichever panels you choose (2 feet). Minus one star because the adhesive foam on one of the feet keep falling off. And due to the foam, the feet don’t truly sit flush on the floor. I haven’t tested this with a rambunctious dog so I can’t determine whether that will affect it. But the feet do provide some stability, in my tests, from the gate being knocked over.

Pros
  • Its elegant design adds a touch of style to any interior, making it the perfect choice for those who want to keep their pets safe without sacrificing style
Cons
  • It is not easily transportable, limiting its usefulness for travel or vacations
