I wasn't sure what shoes I was going to get when I ordered this lightweight Mary Jane shoe. For less than $30 this shoe was very impressive. No break-in period was required even when the insoles were removed from the shoes and replaced with orthopedic insoles. I particularly like the wide footbed. I have Morton's Neuroma and need more room in my toes and balls of my feet. I also ordered 1/2 size larger which helps my toes feel less constricted and gives me the extra room I need. The first day I put them on I had to stand on my feet for hours and barely realized they were on me. I also bought a gray pair and they fit exactly the same. If I could improve the shoe it would be a thicker and more supportive insole with arch support. My feet are in need, so probably a lot of people won't miss the features I've suggested. I have bought other pairs of Mary Jane style (sneaker type) shoes for over $100 each and these CHOKNESS shoes are equal or better. I absolutely recommend this shoe! I also love the versatility of this shoe. I wear it to work, to church and just at home. Expect compliments when you wear them. I have.
