I have tried 4 different brands of these plastic 32oz containers. These are by far the best 32oz plastic containers I've bought (and the least expensive!). I use these as cups for crushed ice and water mostly but they also work well for leftovers. I haven't tried freezing them but they do well in the microwave.I used a hole punch to make a hole for a straw in the lid. There are already two circles on the lid that made making a hole very simple. The problem I have had with other brands is the lids are hard to remove and the rim cracks much faster than expected. These lids are very easy to remove and I haven't had any cracking. One even survived a drop to the floor from the top shelf of my fridge!I see these lasting a long time but if I ever need more, this will be the brand I buy!
