I have a beautiful vintage lamp. The antique plug was connected. One day, for some inexplicable reason, the plug melted, luckily the circuit breaker tripped and not the fire. It was a reminder that electrical wiring wears out over time and should be replaced when the opportunity arises. When Vine offered me this power supply I said YES. The plug and cord are strong and I'm sure they will last a 'long time'. I love the compactness of the bar: three standard 120V plugs and three USB sockets... the latter is becoming increasingly necessary with so many electric drives charging from a USB socket. I notice that another reviewer gave the bar one star because it's a little pricey. Industrial fair. However, I'm happy to pay $20 for a bar that will likely "keep time" with minimal chance of power outages/fires. And I just threw my 30-40 year old power bar in the trash. I give 5 stars for the new one.
