Suitable for play wear. They fade quickly (as always with black). Good for the season; but in the end it will be grey. However my daughter has a 6x and she says it's the most comfortable pair of pants she owns so this is the second pair we've bought for this reason. I had to throw away the first pair after about 7-10 socks because they were so faded and I got a replacement.
